Quote of the Day

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Replace day with game and this is very applicable to go.

Today, I played my first iwamoto game. I wasn't sure how well I would do, since I had some personal stress going on, but I managed to focus on the game enough to win. Feels good to start the series with a win, but there still are seven more rounds to go, so who knows what will happen.

glad to hear that because i started out byhaving a disgusting time.

i lost a point because i dindt showed up...but the problem is i confirmed with this brazilian player to play on monday. then, when i enter the tournament page to see the stats and look around i finally enter my space...and found out that the guy change the schedule to another day and another hour without my consent...and of course, when i dindt show up to the game because who the hell knew...he very nicely gave himself the point.

im furious. im very eager to play at this tournament and my first round i ended up with a wiseguy.

i reported the case to the administration and having some strong words with the brazilian.

Congrats on winning your first game in the Iwamoto tournament.

About that Quote. Do you know the feeling when you lost a game and want to win the next one no matter what? That really sucks! I think that trying to forget the loss is one way of dealing with that (even though i doubt that there are many who can just go on as if nothing happened). Usually after losing a game (or having a losing-streak) it's a good idea to go over the games (doing that alone is fine). Usually spotting the mistakes and read through some of the sequences helps you to get focused and way more calm again. Just my humble opinion though :)
