I finally decided that yes, I should go to the Oza in 2008. It wasn't hard to convince myself, even if it was a bit harder to convince my family. On Sunday, I took the jump and booked flights, hotel, and registered for the tournament.
I will go to the Baltimore one and am tremendously looking forward to it. My very first Oza.

Cool. I hope we're not paired; It'd be a slaughter for sure.
Nanny,
I am still sitting on the fence about the OZA. I have booked the hotel for three nights because I know I can cancel that as late as January 18th at 6:00 pm. So I can sit on the fence for a while longer. If I go I will probably take a local train to Philadelphia and pick up an Amtrak train from there. All told it will be quite expensive. I should probably come just to meet you. You have been such an inspiration.

Don't worry, kip, I have a very peaceful playing style now.
*looks innocent*
I even made an id especially for playing peaceful games. Not that I use it very often, but that's not the point, is it?
And Terri, I hope you will make it so we can meet. That would be awesome.
I got a cheap flight from South West, only $54 one way. I ended up paying $126 round trip including all fees and taxes, which is not bad at all.
And if we don't meet this time, I am sure there will be other events in the future when we can meet.
